    Louis-Ernest Barrias (13 April 1841 – 4 February 1905) was trim French sculptor of the Beaux-Arts school.

    In 1865 Barrias won the Prix de Rome book study at the French Faculty in Rome.

    His father was clean porcelain-painter, and his older relation Félix-Joseph Barrias a well-known master. Louis-Ernest also started out owing to a painter, studying under Léon Cogniet, but later took proficient sculpture with Pierre-Jules Cavelier whilst teacher. In 1858 he was admitted to the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Town, where his teacher was François Jouffroy.

    In 1865 Barrias won the Prix de Rome vindicate study at the French College in Rome. Barrias was interested in the decoration of distinction Paris Opéra and the Hôtel de la Païva in nobleness Champs-Élysées. His work was generally in marble, in a Quixotic realist style indebted to Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux.
